Patrick Swayze Dies

It is with huge sadness that we have learned of the death of Patrick Swayze from the pancreatic cancer that he has been fighting so courageously for the past 20 months. Patrick inspired so many with his energetic, masculine and yet incredibly graceful dancing that his legacy to the dance world will never diminish.

Bolshoi Star Maximova Dies

The Bolshoi has announced the sudden death of one of its greatest dancers, Ekaterina Maximova this week at the age of just 70. Maximova was known for her extraordinary repertoire, much of which she danced with husband Vladimir Vasiliev. After a glittering stage career, she went on to become one of Russia's most respected dance coaches and indeed was still teaching on the weekend before her death.

LOW STOCK for USA and Canada customers

We're running very low on USA and Canada format DVD stock (for example, we only have four - yes, four! - Modern / Contemporary DVDs left, and only a handful more of Ballet, Hip Hop and Salsa). And we won't be replicating any new stock until well into 2009. So if you're thinking about buying a dance DVD soon (or as a Christmas present) order now, 'cos when this last batch of stock is gone, it's gone! First come, first served!
